- Roll up only when clean and dry
- Use fully extended. Do not leave partly retracted for any length of time
- Try and keep clean, if mowing lawns etc. roll up out of the way
- To avoid damage, roll up high in wind and storms
- Remove any mildew, dirt, grass etc. by hosing off. If required, clean with mild diluted soap and a soft cloth
- Do not use detergents, solvents or other liquid cleaners
- Do not leave rolled up for a long period of time in direct sunlight, as heat can build up inside the roll and damage the fabric
